French toast was one of my favorite breakfast foods when I was little. With just a few modifications you can turn french toast into a healthy food. Ingredients:

- 1 large egg

- 2 egg whites

- 1 cup skim milk (or 1%)

- 1 tsp vanilla extract

- 1 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon

- 1 loaf of white bread

Directions:

1)Beat the egg and egg whites together in bowl.

3)Preheat a nonstick frying pan over medium heat.

4)Dip bread into batter and place in frying pan. How long you keep the bread in the batter will determine how much bread you will use when making french toast.

You can top the french toast with powdered sugar, syrup, or jelly.

If you want some variations, then try breakfast casserole.
